“Flight Across the Atlantic” is my Bachelor's graduation work from the Vilnius Academy of Arts. All the garments were made without seams, using wool felted by hand by me and my close ones. The collection is dedicated to Steponas Darius and Stasys Girėnas, and speaks about overcoming difficulties, determination, and taking risks in the name of a higher goal and idea.
Felting the entire collection by hand within 2 months seemed impossible and completely utopian, but I completed it in just 1 month, as I wanted to participate in the “Vilnius Fashion Week” event, which took place a month earlier than the final thesis defense.
