EXPO 2025 Osaka – Guide uniforms for the Baltic Pavilion

Following the pavilion’s motto “We Are One,” I created a capsule clothing collection conveying the message of unity, cultural identity, and openness to innovation among the Baltic countries.

Minimalist in design, the garments stand out with contemporary aesthetics, functionality, and thoughtful details.

The collection is made from natural-colored Lithuanian linen – a material typical of the Baltic region and highly valued in Japan. The undyed linen color symbolizes respect for tradition, love for nature, and responsibility through sustainable decisions for the future.

The capsule principle allows each guide to create their own unique outfit combinations. This principle reinforces the message of the Baltic Pavilion, which says: “We share many similarities and common values, yet at the same time we are different and unique. Our differences encourage us to get to know one another.”
The looks are united by an apron – a traditional element of Baltic national costume, symbolizing readiness to cooperate and take responsibility for the planet’s future.
The shirts in the collection are decorated with specially designed patterns that repeat elements of the pavilion logo. The vertical graphic composition resembles Japanese calligraphy and Baltic ornaments – a subtle cultural bridge between the Baltic countries and Japan.
